Vintage Pieces that were hard to say Goodbye to

Vintage clothing and accessories are a strong passion for myself going all the way back to high school. The thrill of the find is what it is all about - whether I am keeping the vintage piece for myself or selling it online. Every vintage piece comes with its' own unique energy and look. A true fashionista has a few good vintage garments in here closet, it sets her apart from the rest while capturing style from the past. I have been dealing with vintage items for 8 years now and I still have a hard time letting go of certain pieces. Over the years I have had some killer things pass through my hands and in this post I have selected some within the last year that I have been saddened to say goodbye too. They are now somewhere else in the world being sported by a true fashionista!

My Vintage Finds that are variations of Blue

I love the color blue and all of the variations it comes in. My favorite blue is Cornflower blue from the crayola box. I put up most of the blue items in my store on this post. Leather and blue is such a great combination and I love the way distressed blue leather looks. This is a post for all of you fashionistas that love blue and love vintage!

My Love of Vintage Frye Campus Boots

Frye boots are special in so many ways! They are not only well made and gorgeous, they come from a company with a rich American history. Frye Boot Company has been around since the mid 19th century and soldiers on both sides of the civil war wore them. John Frye was a shoe maker that immigrated from England and ran the company here in the U.S. for 50 years until he died. You can still see the quality in the Frye Boots made today. I love the Frye boots from the 60's and 70's and in particular the campus style like these boots in the picture. When Frye was ready to expand the style of their boots in the 60's they came out with the "Campus Boot". They come in many different styles and heights - they look great with flowery skirts or tight jeans. Vintage Frye Boots are a versatile and a must have for the discriminating fashionista! They are very bohemian yet slightly rugged western which is a beautiful combination. Frye boots are truely golden!

Vintage Salvatore Ferragamo shoes!

I love Salvatore Ferragamo as a designer and lately have been lucky to find a lot of them in good condition. The Ferragamo style is classic, elegant, and made in Italy. Ferragamo worked with many stars of Hollywood in the 1920's and then went back to Italy to work on these gorgeous hand crafted shoes. He is known for having great passion for his shoes and you can clearly see it in the design and craftmanship. I love his story because he went bankrupt once but rebuilt himself and his shoes to go on to hire 700 employees! I have four vintage pair of Ferragamo heels in my store here:
